The Cass Ellias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program is seeking an attorney or attorneys to represent volunteer guardians ad litem in Berkeley, Chester, Fairfield, and Newberry counties. These are part time contract positions beginning in July, 2023 and ending, if not renewed, on June 30, 2024. Representation duties include court appearances, document preparation, legal correspondence, research, hearing preparation, discovery, legal advice, and any other work required to represent volunteer guardians in Department of Social Services abuse and neglect proceedings, including matters ancillary to representation in same. Applicants must be in good standing and licensed to practice to practice law in South Carolina.
