Under limited supervision of the Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Engagement and Strategic Initiatives, the Director of the Pro Bono Program manages all aspects of the Pro Bono Program from inception of new projects, daily operations and preparing for future growth and development. The Director manages all new and existing project designs, promulgates policy, participates in decision-making regarding the implementation of the Pro Bono Program, and responds to requests for information from students, faculty, staff, the public, other professionals, and similarly situated program managers. In addition, the Director manages the Public Interest Law Loan Forgiveness Program, including distribution of funds and development of policy regarding eligibility and applications. The Director oversees the Pro Bono Bus program, which involves working with state and regional stakeholders and mentoring students while coordinating legal assistance provided by pro bono attorneys to underserved communities across the state. Minimum: Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred: Juris Doctor degree with at least 3 years of practice experience and a proven commitment to the delivery of Pro Bono activities.
