The Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program is seeking an attorney to represent volunteer guardians ad litem in Abbeville and Greenwood Counties. This is a part time contract position beginning in April, 2023 and ending, if not renewed, June 30,2023. Representation duties include court appearances, document preparation, legal correspondence, research, hearing preparation, discovery, legal advice, and any other work required to represent volunteer guardians in Department of Social Services Abuse and Neglect proceedings, including matters ancillary to representation in same. Applicants must be in good standing and licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
The program is accepting applications until April 6, 2023.
